Hopping Along

The site is slowly progressing and we are slowly progressing with our new project StarToad, which we hope to have a working version of soon to put up here. Added a few more links and also put up some sample graphic design work by one of our canetoad friends in the Design section. Also we have a new look blog due to Blogger's relaunch and upgrades.

Ryan Joins the Blog

WeBlog indeed.

I have signed up for some free webspace so that we are able to make a site, beigetower.org is the name of the place (yea I hadn't heard of it either, but apparently their good). 100MB space, no ads, cgi support ftp upload. Don't know when our account will be created however, but it will be at http://canetoad.beigetower.org/.

Any game ideas on this blog would be appreciated. I had one based on disgruntled postal workers...

Late at night with a distinct absence of memory.

I know that there was something I was supposed to be doing, but for the life of me I can't quite remember what.

It probably had something to do with my thesis, but one never can tell.

On a recent investigation into the untold depths of spam, newsletters and actually email I had sitting in my inbox I found an invitation to join a blogger. Whats a blogger was my first question. I tried narrowing it down using my unfathomable English literacy skills. -er meaning 'one who', provides us with somewhat of a solution... Blogger - one who blogs (or should it be bloggs?). But still the puzzlement remains. But at least the question has evolved.

The story continues... Blogger - one who blogs. [For those of you who doubt me on that, consider builder, or painter. One who builds or one who paints. You see my reasoning now?] So blog must be a verb - or a doing word. So, yestery I blogged, today I blog, tomorrow I will be blogging. (I didn't actually blog yesterday, I only joined today... so I am blogging. But while I blog around here, I notice that scattered around the page(s) are several links and statements - 'View Blog', 'Current Blog' and 'post to my Blog' to name but a few. Suddenly I was confused...

Blog must be a noun - or a thing. An object upon which one can perform actions - or verbs. An item which one could describe with descriptive words - or adjectectives. Somewhere out there could very well be a running blog, a red blog or even dare I say it - a homicidal blog. Wouldn't that be a an interesting headline to read in the paper? But alas, I digrees - we still are left with the topical issue - What the hell is a blog =
The quest shall continue. I'm determined to find out what exactly a blog is and why we have homicidal blogs roaming the neighbourhood completely unchecked.

Sadly, I have found the answer to what exactly a blog is. And I'm sorry to say that they aren't homicidal (at least by nature). A blog is something we do:

We Blog. Web Log.

And it is with that startling revelation that I bring you another startling revelation - I have joined this blog.
